Black Obsidian comes from several places in the world but this particular piece came from Glass Buttes Oregon. Obsidian was widely used by ancient people and was almost exclusively used by some South American tribes. It measures 13 1 2" in length and is 2 1 8" wide.

After a sever thunderstorm took out my cable modem, It was nice to be assured I had replacement coverage for it. Filing the claim was effortless and the process to return the item was no issue at all. My only concern is that the cable modem is a CRITICAL piece of equipment for any individual or business. A sense of urgency on the behalf of Asurion to recognize this and expedite the replacement process would have been appreciated. No technician repairs these modems. Always cheaper to replace, especially one that the failure was attributed to an electrical storm.
